Today we’re going to talk about Shopify Customer Service. Shopify, as one Store builder option, and its Customer Support Service, as one of the criteria for deciding which eCommerce website builder to choose.

Choosing an eCommerce website builder is not everyone’s walk in the park. Not only that there are a bunch of them available, but each and every one of them offers different things (or they do the same things in a different way).  Plus, don’t we all have different preferences and expectations?! Website builders are not a one-size-fits-all kind of thing, and one really has to find their perfect fit.

Shopify 101

Before we dig into the details of Shopify Customer Support, I would like to give you some brief information on Shopify in general.

Shopify is an eCommerce website builder (Duh!) that has gained the trust of over half a million stores. (That’s kind of a big deal, right?!)

How did they do it?

First and foremost- it is exceptionally easy to use. Seriously, one can build a web-shop in a couple of days, without having any experience whatsoever on such platforms. One can build a B.E.A.utiful web-shop, as they offer loads and loads of themes and templates to choose from and some of them are even free!

Shopify also offers a plethora of apps and integrations to make shopping at your online store as pleasant as possible. Your website will also load quickly and be very SEO friendly.

I will now dig into more detail about Shopify Customer Support, and you can read a more detailed description of what Shopify has to offer over here.

Shopify Customer Service

As simple as some things may be, and Shopify being one of them, will all need a helping hand sometimes. It is certainly better to dedicate your time to different aspects of growing your business, rather than trying (and possibly failing) to troubleshoot things around your online store. There will also be times when you want to try something new on your website- wouldn’t you love to see how that has worked for other people?!

Shopify will always watch your back! Read how below:

Open Chat

The team at Shopify is there to help you on live chat 24/7. There definitely isn’t a more convenient way of getting immediate answers to your questions than having a quick chat with a Shopify Guru. Plus, they’re kind enough to let you know the current wait time, so you can grab another cup of coffee while they’re ready for you. How cool is that?!

E-Mail

Say you have a couple of questions, but they don’t need to be addressed immediately. In that case, you could opt out for their e-mail support option. Just introduce whatever issues or enquiries you may be having in an e-mail and Shopify will be in your inbox with all relevant information within 24 hours.

Phone Call

You need help with something, like yesterday? Or you just don’t feel like typing? Don’t you think that the best people out there are the ones you can call whenever you’re having trouble, even if it’s 3 AM?! The lovely people at Shopify will pick up anytime, 24/7! We don’t think they could help you with your insomnia though, but they will certainly provide a helping hand with any technical difficulties you may be experiencing.

A Shopify Guru is standing by on social media as well. Slide into @Shopify’s DM’s on Twitter and ask away. You will have all the answers you need in no time. #Awesome

Video Library

You’re at the very beginning of starting up your webshop, and you’re not sure how to set up some things?! Have no worries- Shopify has prepared neat video tutorials on how to perform most common tasks in the admin section. Press play, sit back and enjoy the show- you will learn the basics in a jiffy.

Shopify Community

Okay, so you’ve learned the basics, and now you want to take things to another level. The Shopify community is where users share their self-supporting experiences and skills, so it is a great place to hang out if you want to learn new things.

Sharing-is-caring comes in different shapes and sizes at Shopify. A few include the following:

eCommerce University

Back to school! Go above and beyond the basic documentation and make use of the many resources available at Shopify. They have a wide selection of guides where you can find anything about everything, eCommerce related of course.

Shopify Blog

Keep up with all eCommerce related trends and news. They have regularly updated announcements and articles, so those fun reads can also help you become a Shopify Guru yourself.

Shopify Webinar

See the program schedule on the site and sign up for a webinar where you can learn all the basics of setting up your online store. And if you don’t find a time slot that fits your own schedule- you can even watch a recording whenever you have the time to. How very convenient, right?!

Shopify Forum

Join a community of Shopifiers and exchange opinions and discuss ideas. Get feedback on your website and discuss any difficulties you may be experiencing or ideas you may be having doubts about- there surely are people that have been there as well. You will always get the best answers from people who have experienced something similar (if not the same) first-hand.

There you have them- all the ways that Shopify provides customer support. We must admit that they are quite out there for their people, one way or the other. As previously mentioned, website builders are not a one-size-fits-all kind of thing, but the people at Shopify certainly keep all support options open, so there really is a convenient way for all users to find whatever they need. Shopify customer service must be one of the reasons why this eCommerce website builder has more than 500 000 users hooked!
