Did you know that the first impressions on a website are based on visuals and designs? Everything about businesses these days requires visuals.

What we need right now is an all-in-one platform that can help us produce excellent visual designs for all purposes. That’s where Visme comes in.

In our Visme review, we’re unraveling everything you need to know about the software — the templates, pricing, support, and other users’ reviews.

Ready?

Here we go!

What is Visme?

Created by designers for non-designers, Visme is a great data visualization, content creation, and presentation tool.

It’s a feature-rich online/offline solution that will completely transform the look of your projects, which is why the company calls itself the “whole workshop” and not just a tool. It’s a one-stop-shop for all your visual and graphics needs.

Device Compatibility

Visme is an online tool. So all you need is a reliable website browser, and you can access the software both on your desktop and mobile devices.

However, if you’re looking for a dedicated iOS or Android app, we’ll have to disappoint you. Our Visme review found out that there’s none. Neither does it have a downloadable Windows or Mac version.

Supported Formats

Visme lets you save your cool digital art in the most popular formats:

  • JPG — Suitable for parts of larger documents or social media posts.
  • PNG — For line drawings, iconic graphics, etc. Most creators prefer it.
  • PDF — Large documents with a lot of content. Both image and text parts are better represented in PDFs. It’s also much more printer-friendly, as many Visme reviews say so.
  • HTML5 — You can open it offline in your local browser, and it’s suitable for storing animations and/or videos.
  • PPTX — To modify your presentations offline, you can download them in the PPTX format. It makes it a decent alternative to PowerPoint.
  • GIF — If you’ve created a standalone GIF using Visme, you can download it to post on social media or use it on your website. (Default size is 1500×1500 or less)
  • MP4 — Video downloads are available for social media, presentations, and blog graphics. (Default canvas size 1366×1366 or less)

Our Visme review for 2021 praises the variety of format acceptance. When you’re uploading image/graphic, audio, video, and other files, the accepted formats are:

  • JPG
  • PNG
  • SVG
  • GIF
  • MP3
  • WAV
  • PPTX
  • XLSX
  • CSV
  • PDF

Keep in mind that the maximum size cannot exceed 5 MB.

What Is Visme Best For?

Visme is an excellent option for everyone.

No, really.

It’s suitable for content creators, website builders/owners, bloggers, students, and basically, all who want to create impactful and memorable content.

And it’s so user-friendly that even the less tech-savvy will feel at home using it. It’s always listed as one of the Visme advantages and never disadvantages.

Let’s discuss that more in-depth.

Ease of Use

Visme is incredibly intuitive, and it’s easy to get the hang of it.

If you’re still unsure, the website has a bunch of video tutorials. They include how-to videos for describing the basic functionality and features, as well as detailed video guides for logo-making tools and good logo-making practices.

They also have a YouTube channel for those tutorials, which is excellent! After all, people prefer watching YouTube tutorials rather than reading the product’s instructions.

We feel obliged to mention in our Visme review something that left a lasting impression — the Case Studies.

It’s a great little section of the website that lets you see how others use the software. Whether you’re an accountant, a lawyer, a marketer, or anything, you’ll surely get some great ideas from the Case studies.

There are also plenty of blog posts written as guides and support tips for Visme users. Their marketing team seems to be doing things right since marketers who make blogging a priority are thirteen times more likely to get a positive ROI.

Features

We’re pretty sure everyone’s waiting for this part of our Visme review for 2021. After all, the features are the stars of the show.

We’ve dissected every possible aspect of the platform to uncover its best features to see if it’s worth giving it a try, and it did not disappoint.

So far, we think it deserves what they call themselves the “whole workshop” for visual creation. After all, the first impressions of a website always come from visuals and designs.

So, here we go!

Presentations

Our Visme presentation review discovered that it offers 405+ modern, simple, and creative designs that you can use and modify according to your needs.

You start with a blank page. All the basic tools and the options to add graphics, videos, audio, data, and media are at your disposal.

Infographics

If you want to make an infographic, Visme lets you get creative. You have templates suited to present a process, compare two or more items, show locations, elaborate on reports, create guides, etc.

It’s something that most alternatives to Visme don’t have. Many of these templates are available for premium users, but there is a decent selection of the free version as well. It’s at par with many dedicated infographic software.

Charts and Maps

If you thought you needed to be a graphic designer to create mind-blowing charts, you were wrong. Visme has templates for charts that will leave your audience thinking you have an MA in Graphic design, even if it’s the first time you’ve ever done such a thing.

Pie charts, line graphs, flowcharts, maps, concept maps — you name it, Visme will provide it. We’re definitely listing it down here as one of Visme pros and not cons.

Documents

We’re all sick of looking at boring reports. Or proposals. Or newsletters. Or surveys.

You get the point.

Visme has a wide range of templates available for all types of documents. Even for e-books and magazine covers! Isn’t that amazing?

Printables

Visme has a decent range of printable document templates and formats that you can work upon.

That includes posters, menus, flyers, schedules, resumes, syllabus, invitations, certificates, and more. You can create custom-sized printables or use one of the available templates — no wonder why most Visme ratings are high, if only because of this feature.

Social Media Graphics

We’re all on social media, whether as individuals or businesses. So we need to make sure our visual content stands out in a way, especially on Instagram since it’s the largest photo-and video-sharing platform worldwide.

With Visme, you can create the coolest things. The templates are suitable for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Pinterest, and Youtube.

Web Graphics

The web graphics templates are divided into wallpapers (both desktop and mobile), wide skyscrapers, large and medium rectangle (IAB), leaderboard, email header, and blog graphics.

Speaking of blog graphics, bloggers may find Visme an excellent source of graphics since people are drawn to visual content 65% more than text content.

Visme Pricing and Plans

Visme has three major paid plans other than the free plan: Standard, Business, and Enterprise. It also has special plans, namely — Education and Non-profit, that have two options each. Let’s take a look at each of them.

Free

The free plan includes five projects, 100 MB storage space, limited templates, and a limited collection of charts and widgets. The most limiting aspect of this plan is you can only download your creations as JPG.

Standard

The Standard Visme monthly pricing plan is $25 when billed monthly and $15 when billed annually.

You’ll get 15 projects, 250 MB storage, all premium assets, templates, charts and widgets, and JPG and PDF download with the Standard plan.

Business

The Business plan is best for small teams.

It comes with unlimited projects, 10GB storage, PPTX, HTML5, video and GIF downloads, video and audio uploads, brand kit, folders, privacy controls, slide and page library, analytics, and so on.

To sweeten the deal even more, the Visme cost for the Business plan is only $29 a month if you pay it yearly. However, it’s $49 a month if you pay it monthly.

Enterprise

The Enterprise plan is a made-to-order option since you need to contact Sales to customize it and get the price. But it automatically comes with unlimited projects, 25GB storage, Single Sign On (SSO), additional security, and more.

Education

Education plans are distributed differently than the other two. Also, a semester in Visme terms means five months. Visme pricing table for these are as follows:

Student: $30 per semester. The inclusions are similar to the Standard plan.

Educator: $60 per semester. Similar to the Individual Business plan.

Non-Profit

Visme supports non-profit organizations; thus, the Non-Profit plan has all the Business plan’s features, but with a 25$ discount so, it’s only $21.75 a month when paid annually.

Customer Support

While reviewing the pros and cons of Visme, we found out that it has a comprehensive support page with different types of resources. They also have a dedicated YouTube page with plenty of helpful videos. Other than that, the support is based on your plan.

You can contact the support team by creating a ticket through their chatbot support, where you have to enter your name and email address.

You can also contact them by sending an email to [email protected]. Keep in mind that premium users receive support much quicker and on a significantly better level.

However, one of its cons is that it doesn’t have live chat support when most users prefer it to get customer support.

Visme User Reviews

Most user reviews we found were positive.

However, some people complained about the support, PowerPoint portability, language, and the undo function.

There were some complaints about customization, but Visme is a basic tool designed for non-designers. It doesn’t have the granular customization features as a professional photo editor or design program would have.

Most positive Visme reviews about the interface apparently came from people without formal graphics training and expertise. They love the user-friendly interface, wealth of features, video capabilities, collection of templates, and graphics.

Visme Alternatives

There are not many true alternatives to Visme in the market now, so it’s hard to make some apples-to-apples comparison.

At this point, we already know that Visme is a one-stop shop as it offers many features not many graphic design tools have. That’s what sets Visme apart from its competitors.

But, of course, we can make some apples-to-oranges comparisons. Here it goes.

Visme vs. Canva

The battle of the giants.

Canva wins against Visme when it comes to pricing, and it also comes ahead because it has an app.

But…

Visme is more attractive to enterprises and large collaborative teams, as it packs more features, has infographic templates, audio and video additions.

Both have fantastic ease of use that beginners and professionals alike enjoy. However, as we mentioned in our detailed review, Canva is preferred by more individual designers and small businesses, while Visme is more for larger organizations.

Visme vs. Piktochart

Pikochart’s full version for individual users is a bit cheaper, and it comes with offline editing. But when it comes to support, it’s not that great.

Visme stands out with more features, a better range of plans for teams and businesses, premade content blocks, and HTML5 export.

Both offer a wide range of templates and designs. But Piktohart’s selections are pretty simple and similar to each other. We’d say Visme wins this one.

Our Verdict

Visme is a powerful content creation and data visualization tool, but you can truly unleash its true potential with the premium version. And, as you can see from our Visme review, getting a premium account is worth it.

But even with its free version, it can transform boring colorless content through visualization and turn into something that people would love to see and retain. It might not be perfect, and it might lack an app, but it sure is something.

FAQ

Is Visme easy to use?

Yes, it is! All you need to do is create an account, and you can get started. Go to the website and click on the “Sign Up for Free” button. Fill in the needed info, and voila!

If you’re still unsure, you can go through the videos available on Visme or YouTube to get an idea of the process. If you’re a beginner, it’s better to modify an existing template than creating a new one.

Is Visme safe?

First of all, Visme has a comprehensive Privacy Policy in place. It also has privacy and control settings, which means that you have complete control over the information you want to share or not. So, be cautious when using it since some data breaches are caused by human errors.

However, these features only come with the Business and Enterprise plans.

The Enterprise Plan has the highest security features as it also comes with 2-factor-authentication (2A), single sign-on, and additional security. So, yes, it’s pretty safe, especially if you take the higher-priced plans.

Is Visme any good?

If we base it on our review and other reviews we’ve seen, we can confidently say that Visme is indeed good!

It may not be the cheapest in the market, but it’s loaded with features most organizations and individuals alike would want to use for all their visual content needs.

Our Visme review recommends being diligent when choosing the design you need, as you may get lost in the sea of choices.
